Salvage was a game created for the 2015 Global Games Jam using the theme “What do we do now?” In Salvage you play as an alien that’s crash landed on earth and needs to recover all the parts of their spaceship in order to return home.
You only have enough life support for 10 days and earths harsh environment prevents you from leaving the confines of you ship. The player must use their fleet of robots to gather the missing parts, collect water to survive and mine metal to upgrade your robots and build more! But take care and plan ahead because any robot not back before sunset will be lost to the desert! (Think 2d Pikmin)
I had the pleasure of working with Michel Field, Alistair Lynn and Charlie Cox (aka Moleman) and hope it’s not to long before I can work with them again!
